Hi, my name is Preston, and I have been a Disney fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the 1980’s and early 1990’s watching the feature films like The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, and continued into the late 90’s and 2000’s watching “Disney’s One Saturday Morning.” As I grew up, I learned to appreciate some “older” content, like Star Wars and Marvel (so I am thrilled now that they are all part of the Disney family)! As a child, I got to visit the parks a few times, and while I certainly enjoyed them, I would say it wasn’t until high school when I fell in love with the parks. As a saxophone player in one of the premier high school music programs in our home state of New Hampshire, I was invited to march in our band down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, playing for the crowd. I remember marching past Cinderella Castle, looking around, feeling like for a brief moment that I was a part of ‘the magic,’ and I knew I’d be hooked for life.
As an adult, my wife and I have been able to bring our two small boys to Walt Disney World Resort several times over the past six years. Sometimes, we’re able to bring the boys’ grandparents along with us on our trips, which enables my wife and I to spend some time in the parks and resorts enjoying the fine dining or ‘adult’ attractions. We know that Disney isn’t just for kids, and our experiences create memories that the entire family enjoys. There’s nothing quite like that moment, about five minutes after walking through the gates at Magic Kingdom, when I see my family members spot that same castle that got me hooked, and I know the magic will never get old.
I am thrilled to be part of the team at Mickey World Travel because I love Disney vacations, I love helping people, and I want to use my knowledge to help other people enjoy the magic. As I think about what brings me the most amount of joy in life, it’s clearly the time I spend with my family, making lifelong memories, and living life to the fullest. I am thrilled at the idea of helping others experience that same magic that I know and love!
