Hello! My name is Stephen Schmitz. Probably like most of you, I grew up watching the Disney classics like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs all the way through The Little Mermaid. When my family was planning trips to Walt Disney World my mom took the helm on that one. She picked the hotels, what parks to visit, and where to eat that day. This was before the days of My Disney Experience and Disney Genie+.
In college I began listening to multiple Disney podcasts to keep up with the changes that were happening in the parks. Being a typical college student, I was too poor to go to Disney, let alone travel. I graduated with a degree in Product Development which allowed me to work in the engineering field with the Automotive companies here in Detroit and their suppliers. However, the love for Disney remained in me. When I met my wife, she hadn’t been to Walt Disney World since 1994 so I figured I would take her for a short weekend and stay at one of the All-Star Resorts. Well now that led us to become
Annual Passholders. We were engaged by Cinderella’s wishing well, and had our Honeymoon in 2020 at Disney’s Riviera Resort for two weeks. I made her a Disney Theme Park addict like myself. I helped my extended family and friends plan their Disney vacations, pre and post Covid-19. I helped them from picking out the hotel to narrowing down the restaurants that they would want to eat at. I recently planned a trip with my mother-in-law. She was impressed with my knowledge of Disney as she hadn’t been to the theme parks in years.
Before Covid happened, my co-workers would approach me and ask me Walt Disney World questions regarding their trips. Some of them encouraged me to change careers with my wealth of Disney knowledge. When life threw the unexpected at us in 2020 and forced my place of employment to shut down permanently, I investigated in becoming a travel agent and came across Mickey World Travel. At this point, I’ve stayed at every hotel price point from Value to Deluxe, dinned with and without the Disney Dinning Plan, and have stayed up to date with the replacement for Disney Magical Express.
Regardless if this will be your 1st visit or 100th or you just hate doing the planning; as a Disney College of Knowledge graduate, I can make the planning easier! I can help guide you through selecting the correct tickets, guiding you with Disney Genie+, booking park reservations, and helping you get those hard dinning reservations (looking at you Storybook Dinning). My goal is for you and your family to have one of, if not the best vacations of your lifetime.
As Walt Disney said, “laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, dreams are forever.”
