Disney Makes Major Announcements at D23

This weekend Disney announced changes coming to Walt Disney World in the future.   So let’s get started.

Hollywood Studios

  • Star Wars Land is to be named – Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. It will open first in Disneyland.

  • The Great Movie Ride will be closing August 13.  They are replacing it with a new attraction call Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway with new technology that is not 3D but what Disney is calling 2 1/2D that will give you the feel of 3D with no glasses.  The outside of the building is said to be staying the same.
