MyMagic+ Enhancements Announced

Disney is set to expand the FastPass+ system yet again!   The system has been in “testing” phase for over a year and with that comes enhancements.  The most recent is allowing all guests the ability to schedule FastPasses in advance whether you are a resort guest or not.  Day guests will not

Image_MM-_Epcot_Girl-in-Anna-dress_Mom_CM_-613x408receive Magic Bands since the tickets have the technology already built in, but day guests can purchase a Magic Band if they choose.

Since the initial rollout over 3.5 million guests have tested the MyMagic+ and Disney has listened to all our feedback.  Changes are coming!    In addition to the 3 FastPasses  you can reserve in advance, you can now get an additional FastPass inside the park at one of the kiosks after your third FastPass is used.  When you use the forth you can now select another and so on, very similar to the Legacy FastPass system.   Park Hopping with FastPasses  is coming!  Disney is currently working on an enhancement to allow guests to park hop with reserved FastPasses.

Tom Staggs, Chairman Walt Disney Parks and Resorts said in the blog post, “As expected, most of our guests think that securing times to ride our attractions is one of the best ways to maximize the fun of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We’ve heard from a number of guests that they would like the opportunity to add additional FastPass+ entitlements during their visit, in addition to the three they can plan in advance. So, we’re working on providing them with the ability to add and enjoy additional entitlements on the day of their visit.

Once they’ve used the three they’ve booked, we’ll enable them to select another at kiosks in the parks. And once they’ve used the fourth, they can select another, and so on. We also heard that other guests liked the fact that with the FastPass+ service they could use FASTPASS when they park hopped. So we’re working on a service enhancement to add that feature to FastPass+ as well.”

This is exciting news, the two biggest complaints about the new system are being addressed.  No official date of the updates yet.

A Disney Vacation: Perfect for Anyone

By:  Susan Soares

As a travel agent, I am beginning to lose count of how many times I have heard someone tell me that Disney is just for kids.  I tell them every time that could not be further from the truth.  In fact, there are so many facets to Disney that there is something for people of all ages and all interests.  In this blog post, I am going to explore the basics of what Disney has to offer all over the world.  Some of themWalt Disney World Partners might even surprise you.

Let’s start with the obviously wonderful, iconic Walt Disney World in Orlando.  With four parks, there is something for every interest.  Magic Kingdom offers the magic that most people think of when they think of Disney.  Walking down Main Street and seeing that wonderful castle gives me chills every time and takes me to a magical place.  Epcot has an amazing array of dining options to fit every taste.  Explore the world in one day as you wander throughout the World Showcase.  Travel to space on Mission:  Space or explore the ocean with Nemo.   Animal Kingdom gives you the chance to get up close and personal with the animals or travel to Mt. Everest in search of the mythical Yeti.  Hollywood Studios offers something for everyone from thrill seekers to the fine dining buff.  Tower of Terror gets the blood pumping as you drop thirteen stories or travel to the Rock N Roller Coaster for some high speed, upside down thrills.  Finish up the evening at the Brown Derby for an evening of fine dining.  Make sure you try the Grapefruit Cake.  You will be telling everyone about how amazing it is.

For the historians and traditionalists, a visit to Disneyland in Anaheim is a must!  This is where the dream started and continues today.  Explore the magic that Walt Disney himself dreamed of and made reality for millions of people.  While it is filled with wonderful rides, Disneyland has a charm and elegance all its own.  For those looking for a luxury hotel experience, you should check out The Grand Californian.  Apart from the luxury hotel experience, this hotel offers you a private entrance World of Color straight into the park.

Still sound too “kiddish” to you?  Hang on, it’s about to get grown up.  Disney’s world famous customer service carries over into all of their other adventures as well.    Did you know that Disney Cruise Line is now cruising to destinations like Norway, Greece and Alaska?  If you are looking for more of a guided tour, look no further.  Adventures by Disney offers itineraries all over the United States and to places abroad including Egypt, South Africa and Australia.  How does Hawaii sound?  Visit Disney’s Aulani for the ultimate in experiencing a tropical paradise.  Aulani offers amazing views, wonderful activities and a pool just for adults to get away from it all. Disney Cruise ship

Isn’t Disney amazing?  I look forward to sharing more with you in future blogs about why Disney is perfect for anyone.

Keep calm and Disney on!
